Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Saturday that he remains undeterred by a Hezbollah drone attack targeting his home, warning Iran’s proxies that they would face severe consequences for any attempt on his life or that of his wife. “Two days ago, we eliminated Yahya Sinwar, the terrorist mastermind. Our fight continues, and nothing will stop me,” Netanyahu declared.
Later that evening, Netanyahu reiterated that Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy, had made a serious error by attempting to assassinate him and his wife. “Today’s assassination attempt by Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy, was a grave mistake. It will not deter me or the State of Israel from pursuing our rightful war against our enemies to ensure our future. I warn Iran and its proxies: Anyone who tries to harm Israeli citizens will face a heavy price,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Israeli Foreign Minister Katz also commented on the situation, reaffirming that Hezbollah is Iran’s primary proxy after Tehran denied involvement in the attack. In his post on X, Katz said, “The Iranian Embassy at the UN denies responsibility for the assassination attempt on Prime Minister Netanyahu, but Hezbollah is Iran’s main proxy—the entity they created, funded, armed, trained, and control. Iran’s attempts to distance itself are lies. You are responsible.”
Meanwhile, Israeli media outlet Channel 12 reported on X that Iran had attempted to assassinate Netanyahu, with a senior Israeli government official confirming Tehran’s involvement.
